Since 1987, the Crystal Ball has been one of the most prestigious black-tie fundraising gala in Vancouver. From 2011 to 2016, BrandLIVE collaborated with the Foundation to enhance the event year over year, introducing new production and decor concepts to maintain a fresh and exciting guest experience. Hosted in the Park Ballroom of the Four Seasons Hotel, the event featured dramatic ballroom build-outs and ceiling treatments under the themes of “Extraordinary” and “Transformed.” Guests enjoyed a champagne reception, a four-course dinner by the Four Seasons, and engaging live and silent auctions. BrandLIVE, in partnership with the Foundation, meticulously managed programming, entertainment, decor, technical production, and logistics.
The event’s success contributed to the BC Children’s Hospital Foundation reaching its $200 million goal, allowing the groundbreaking of a new hospital building in 2018. Subsequent funds supported the $6 million Children’s Healing Experience Project, aiming to integrate purposeful art into the new Teck Acute Care Centre. The 2016 Crystal Ball set a record by raising $4.4 million for the Foundation’s vital work.
