SKOOKUM FESTIVAL

Created in 2018 by BrandLIVE, the SKOOKUM Festival seamlessly blended the finest elements of local music, food, and art with international headliners Florence and the Machine and The Killers, captivating guests in the picturesque backdrop of Vancouver’s Stanley Park. Over three days in early September, the BrandLIVE team worked diligently to transform the Brockton Field complex into a creative wonderland infused with West Coast influences. The festival boasted four stages, restaurant pop-ups, a craft beer and wine zone, long table dinners, artisan vendors, and an art pavilion.

Set within the unceded territories of the Musqueam, Squamish, and Tsleil-Waututh Nations, SKOOKUM embraced sustainability through consultations with First Nations and a groundbreaking partnership with Ocean Wise Life. With 30% Indigenous programming, the festival implemented award-winning sustainability measures, successfully eliminating single-use plastic water bottles and straws while exclusively using 100% compostable food and beverage materials.

Welcoming over 50,000 attendees across three event days, SKOOKUM was a truly distinctive experience, merging top-tier entertainment with an authentic West Coast ethos that honored its location and history, while showcasing the best in contemporary music, food, and art.
