The Challenge | Building A Brand New Conference from the Ground Up
To mark the 10th anniversary of ethical banking organization the Global Alliance for Banking on Values, BRANDLIVE was engaged by local host Vancity Savings to create the first ever GABV Summit. In less than a year, BRANDLIVE worked hand-in-glove with its clients to design, build and execute the biggest and most successful event in GABV’s history, welcoming members from around the world to Vancouver.
The Strategy | Play To Your Strengths
Working with a serious time constraint and no previous blueprint, BRANDLIVE quickly assigned clear roles and responsibilities amongst the stakeholder group. Vancity and GABV provided subject matter expertise in ethical banking, selecting key program pillars and curating speakers and special guests. BRANDLIVE was the conference expert, leading the overall planning process, designing the program architecture, creating a progressive floor plan and environmental design to facilitate networking and showcase GABV and Vancity members, and curating a social program to give international guests a taste of Vancouver’s sights and culture.
The Impact | A New Gold Standard
The GABV Summit 2019 was a key milestone for the Alliance, bringing members together from around the world to mark a decade in existence, and set course for the decade ahead. To match these lofty goals, the Summit had to set new standards for programming, content, design and overall guest experience at a GABV event, all while adhering to a strict sustainability and living wage mandate. The Summit welcomed over 500 guests from xx countries for a 3 day conference and social program that was heralded by organizers and members as setting a new gold standard for the future.
