The Challenge
A setting for change

A star-studded event, Voices in the Park, benefitted the Sarah McLachlan School of Music. This program provides high-quality musical programs to children, youth, and seniors that face barriers in their education. In 2012, BRANDLIVE was approached by Sarah McLachlan to create and produce this meaningful event in Vancouver.

The Strategy
Music for the masses

Presented by TELUS, Voices in the Park was the largest ticketed event at the time in the history of Stanley Park. More than 11,000 guests enjoyed eight hours of continuous music and entertainment performances by Sarah McLachlan, Stevie Nicks, Bryan Adams, Jann Arden, Hedley, and many more – including a special guest appearance by President Bill Clinton!

BRANDLIVE managed all aspects of the design and delivery of this event, including site design, production, operations, sponsorship sales, and contingency planning. Voices in the Park, along with a gala event held the previous evening in Sarah’s home, raised more than 1 million dollars to support the Sarah McLachlan School of Music.

The Impact
Giving voice to a meaningful cause

Voices in the Park and the coinciding gala not only raised funds for an important cause, it raised awareness for underserved areas in our community. BRANDLIVE was proud to champion this message and secured Telus as the presenting sponsor along with raising more than $400,000 in sponsorship funds. This effort, along with funds raised from the Voices in the Park gala event created a lasting impact on the Vancouver music community.
