From hired speaker to client
BRANDLIVE goes way back with Dr. Gautam Gulati, who was hired by our team to speak at a conference produced in Phoenix, Arizona. A year later Dr. Gulati reached out to our team to help create a first-of-its-kind event that would celebrate the unusual and the unexpected in Washington, DC. The age of average is over
Cracking the mold of conventional conference structure, BRANDLIVE designed the visual identity of Unusual Intersections by creating and executing all print and digital branding elements for the conference. This creative immersion reached all areas of production including event and brand design, management of the venue, catering, audio visual requirements, video + photography, and day-of execution. This was no small feat considering our team produced the entire conference remotely, working closely with the client and vendors based in the Washington, DC. area.
Unusual Intersections brought together leaders from diverse industries to learn from one another and solve problems in an up-close-and-personal environment through talks, workshops, and actionable outcomes. Post event content set out to deliver solutions to ideas generated each day. For example, Speaker Talks were edited and posted online to share with audiences to create a wider discussion.
To amplify the intimate setting of this event, BRANDLIVE developed a variety of custom content. These solutions included everything from video and photo booths, farm to table family style brunch, custom cocktails, wine, and beer offerings, as well as unique decor, all contributing to bringing the Unusual Intersections theme to life.
Connecting the dots
By bringing together 15 influential thought leaders from diverse backgrounds, Unusual Intersections provided a unique opportunity for group ideation and thought leadership. This first-year event design became the brand template for Unusual Inc.’s identity across media channels.
Unusual Intersections is now going into third year with BRANDLIVE as their partner agency, continuing to connect speakers and attendees who collaborate post-event on business ventures, social impact opportunities, and consulting projects.
