The Challenge
A warm welcome

In January 2016, BRANDLIVE produced the Vancouver Host City Welcome on behalf of Tourism Vancouver, the Vancouver Convention Centre, and the Host City Organizing Committee for the 2016 Professional Convention Management Association (PCMA) Convening Leaders Annual Conference. The Strategy
From Sea to Sky- and everything in between

This industry event welcomed 3500+ meeting professionals to Vancouver for 4-days of education, inspiration, and collaboration. BRANDLIVE produced a multi-media segment to welcome delegates to Vancouver and introduce them to what makes this city so special.
The segment featured multiple parts, weaving together a story of Vancouver’s notable personalities, juxtaposition between urban and natural landscapes, and commitment to industry, the green economy, and arts and culture.

Highlights included an opening address by Vancouver’s co-host of Breakfast Television Riaz Meghji, welcome remarks from Ken Cretney (President of PavCo) and Ty Speer (CEO of Tourism Vancouver), a custom video featuring notable Vancouverites such as Mayor Gregor Robertson, Chef David Hawksworth, and Prime Minister Justin Trudeau, and a live spoken word performance by poet Shane Koyczan.

BRANDLIVE was responsible for all creative direction and design, segment scripting and speaker coaching, scripting, casting, and production of all video content, custom screen content, and all talent sourcing and curation.

The Impact
Taking the lead

The PCMA hosts a variety of notable events across the globe to a seasoned crowd of event professionals. For such a discerning audience, BRANDLIVE had to deliver a rich and compelling story that positioned Vancouver as a world class event destination. Working with key local tourism stakeholders, BRANDLIVE created custom multimedia content that featured tourism industry leaders, local celebrities, politicians, public and live performers telling a powerful, authentic story about what makes Vancouver a unique event destination.
