With the 2011 Lotus Award Ceremony facing cancellation, the Advertising Award Association of BC approached BRANDLIVE to take over production of the event and bring it into a new era of success and vitality.

The Strategy
Something to celebrate

BRANDLIVE’s first task was to move the ceremony to the Vancouver Convention Centre, a venue well suited to this caliber of event. BRANDLIVE cultivated the event theme, booked one of Vancouver’s hottest acts; HUMANS, and brought new sponsors onboard.

With an emphasis on celebration of innovation and the creative community in British Columbia,  the 800+ attendees and award partners alike reveled in the success of this event. The Lotus Awards have since increased its category recognition to include design, interactive, and social media. Submissions continue to increase along with sponsorship and attendance, placing the event’s operating budget firmly in the black.

The Impact

BRANDLIVE worked closely with the Advertising Award Association of BC to produce and execute the event, overseeing all aspects of programming, entertainment, décor, technical, and logistics. In lieu of previous struggles, impact of the 2011 event has led to continued success for the Awards and increased engagement from the creative community.
