The Challenge – Bringing the Music to the Masses
For the 2018 JUNOS, BRANDLIVE designed, built and operated “Let’s Hear It Live” as a focal point for public excitement surrounding the Awards returning to Vancouver after a 9 year absence. BRANDLIVE designed the site to be fully protected from the elements, featuring a Main Stage, VIP Area, Experiential Activations, Kids Activities, Food Vendors and Exhibitors.
The Strategy – Create a Destination for Fans
Located in the heart of downtown, “Let’s Hear It Live” transformed the Vancouver Art Gallery’s newly renovated North Plaza into a mecca for music and a gathering place for fans and music professionals alike. Located at one of the City’s busiest intersections, the Fan Zone was a highly visible activation that drew in passing foot traffic, as well as committed fans. Attendees enjoyed free programming by a range of new and established BC artists, along with tasty food options, licensed beverages, activations and vendors. Morning activities for kids and families catered to the next generation of fans.
The Impact – Sharing the Love
As the only new venue constructed specially for the JUNOS, the live site was a tangible manifestation of the JUNOS touching down in Vancouver. It offered fans a free, family-friendly opportunity to join the excitement and share in the largest celebration of music in the Canadian calendar.
