The Challenge
Respect for the past

The Dr. Peter AIDS Foundation is a non-profit organization that raises funds to support innovative health care at the Dr. Peter Centre in Metro Vancouver. Reconciling the impact of HIV/AIDS on our community, the Dr. Peter Centre is a leader in HIV care. This centre not only reaches individuals with multiple medical conditions and social barriers but is the only program of its kind in Canada. BRANDLIVE conceived a design for this event based on reverence for the past, and hope for the future.

The Strategy
Looking towards the future

BRANDLIVE produced the fourth annual Life Commitment Dinner for the Dr. Peter AIDS Foundation at the home of Lorne and Melita Segal in Southlands. This stunning private residence provided the backdrop for a truly memorable evening of fundraising and culinary excellence, with catering provided by the spectacular Hawksworth restaurant. The event surpassed its fundraising goals, and has become the annual marquee event for the Dr. Peter AIDS Foundation.

BRANDLIVE managed all aspects of production, décor, technical, logistics, and entertainment, as well as the design and implementation of a custom plexiglass pool cover, which turned the outdoor pool into an elegant dining room, and the evening into an unforgettable experience.

The Impact
Making change, together

Knowing first-hand that people living with HIV/AIDS have many needs beyond mere survival, Dr. Peter Jepson-Young established the Dr. Peter AIDS Foundation before his death in 1992. Today, the organization supports more than 350 Day Health Program participants and 50 residents at the Dr. Peter Centre.
