The Challenge | A Major Celebration in the Heart of the City
As the largest Canada Day celebration outside the nation’s capital, Canada Day at Canada Place attracts huge crowds to an expansive event footprint in the centre of the City.  The site features indoor and outdoor programming at Canada Place, Jack Poole Plaza and the surrounding city streets, including an outdoor Main Stage, multiple vendors, sponsor activations, and an evening fireworks display and VIP party.  BRANDLIVE manages multiple stakeholders, including significant consultation with the City, Port, transit and emergency services regarding crowd management and public safety.

The Strategy | Deliver the Fun, Flawlessly
Canada Day at Canada Place delivers a non-stop, all-day, family-friendly celebration of our country’s rich culture and heritage.  The event is programmed across multiple venues for all ages and backgrounds, appealing to an audience of locals and visitors alike.  BRANDLIVE is responsible for creative direction, site-wide programming, talent booking, site logistics, production and execution for all daytime Canada Day events, culminating in the annual Canada Day fireworks.  BRANDLIVE liaises with multiple stakeholders over an extended planning period to ensure clear communication and transparency, then deploys an extensive event team to manage the production, including a challenging “flip” of the site from daytime activations to evening fireworks.

The Impact | Celebrating Canada, Welcoming The World
Since its debut at Expo ‘86, Canada Place has welcomed the world to Vancouver.  Canada Day at Canada Place reinforces this iconic Vancouver venue’s position as the gateway to our City and a must-see destination for locals and visitors alike, promoting quintessential Canadian values of community, diversity and inclusion.
