August 1 - 4, 2008 | brand.LIVE to produce Festival 150 event in Victoria August 1st - 4th, BC DAY LONG WEEKEND

 

Victoria, BC - The Provincial Capital Commission today announced plans for Festival 150 - A celebration of British Columbia's 150th Year. The event will be produced by Vancouver based brand.LIVE Group, a full service event production and sponsorship company. Festival 150 will feature an array of weekend activities in the Provincial Capital, capturing the true spirit and imagination of British Columbians. The weekend will consist of four days of free, family-oriented events, taking place throughout Victoria's picturesque Inner Harbour from Friday, August 1st through BC Day Monday, August 4th, and will showcase the very best of British Columbia.

"We have worked with many of Canada's most prominent artists over the years and we are pleased to be bringing some of the best to our capital."

The main stage concert's musical lineup includes longtime BC residents Sarah McLachlan, Burton Cummings and Colin James. Also appearing will be the legendary Dal Richards with special guest Jim Byrnes. The entire event will take place on the Legislature Lawn with Victoria's inner harbor as the backdrop.
