On September 19th, 2009, thousands of Vancouver fans will have the exciting opportunity to witness BC’s own all star MVP, Steve Nash take on sports icons during the Downtown Showdown at David Lam Park in trendy Yaletown. Following the success of the NYC Showdown in Chinatown, the basketball hero has chosen Vancouver as his only Canadian stop for the Showdown, an eight-a side celebrity charity soccer match with international basketball and soccer superstars including some hometown favorites, Vancouver Whitecaps, and surprise guest appearances lined up, in support of the Steve Nash Foundation.
